About
About Rankele and the analysts it is built for
Rankele sells one thing: backlink data through a JSON API, priced per call. We write for people who have to explain a ranking move to someone else.
Where the idea came from
Link tools answer one thing: what a profile looks like now. Analysts need the second question. What changed, and when? That gap is the reason this site exists, and every page here is an attempt to narrow it without overclaiming.
So the pages here are built around method rather than product tours. They show how to take a copy of a profile each month, how to bracket a change instead of dating it, and when to say undetermined. A backlink checker online is only as honest as the questions asked of it.
The editorial team that writes the pages is the same group that maintains the examples, which is why every worked example is labelled as invented where it is.
Most of our reading list comes from the same recurring puzzles: a drop after a Google core update, a lost-link flag that turns out wrong, a rival who seems to have overtaken a page overnight. Each puzzle has a cheap first test, and the pages are organised around those tests.
We also keep the claims modest. The DR formula is public, the refresh is monthly, and the comparison with Ahrefs is stated in its own terms rather than ours. If a page cannot support a claim, it says undetermined.

How the data is made
Everything comes from our own crawler and our own index. We do not resell another vendor's database. That choice keeps prices low and also limits how fresh the data can be.
The index is rebuilt roughly once a month. A link added last week may not be present yet, and a lost link may linger until the next rebuild. We say so on every page where it matters.
Our DR is round(100 log(ref_domains + 1) / log(2 10^7)). It is public and simple on purpose, and it is not the same number as Ahrefs DR or Moz DA.
Prices follow from that design. One credit is $0.0001, the $100 free credit on sign-up is 1,000,000 credits, and each call is billed once whatever the number of rows, up to 1,000 per call. You top up in USDT (TRC-20) from the account page, and sign-in is Google only.
Questions about method are welcome through the account page. We read them, and several pages here began as exactly that kind of question, reworded.
What we do and do not offer
Link data per call
Referring domains, backlinks, anchors, top pages and DR, from $0.10 per 1,000 calls with no subscription.
Free lookups
The domain, overview, stats and suggest actions need no key. Start with them in the free explorer.
No keyword or rank data
For keyword research, rank tracking and a daily crawl, Ahrefs and Semrush are the fuller products.
Method pages, not feature tours
Five pages show how to pair link snapshots with rank logs, from the diff recipe to the spam spike decision tree.
